I made a nice, light, delicious, lemon chicken soup for dinner in my instant pot.
I love jambalaya so I decided to figure out if I could make it easier or faster in the instant pot. It came out really, really good. I can’t wait to make this again.
I had a lot of left over lamb leg and since we didn’t really like it, I knew I needed to turn it into something more flavorful. Also, I love making my own pasta. So I put both things together and came out with a really delicious meal.
I used my instant pot to try making a new type of meat, Lamb! It went OK, but it’s definitely a recipe I need to keep working on. The potatoes were good.
This week’s bento is a Hello Kitty theme again. I have Hello Kitty spicy salmon sushi, spicy salmon poke, cucumber spears, octopus sausages, steamed corn and edamame, and seaweed salad! Enjoy!
I used my instant pot to try to create a Lebanese lentil soup. This one could use some work, but it’s still delicious and my husband already wants more!
I used my instant pot to try to recreate my grandma’s recipe for chicken and dumplings. I came close, but not quite there. Still delicious though.
This week’s inspiration was Let’s Go: Eevee which I’ve been playing A LOT. So I have Eevee rice, diglett sausage, and pokeball stakes. Enjoy!
I finally had time to make a bento again this week and I chose to make a cat in a bath bento. The main components are rice and chicken tikka marsala that I made in my new instant pot. I’m really happy with how they came out! Enjoy :)
I got an instant pot for Christmas. And I was so excited to try out a bunch of recipes. Some were great, others will take some work. I’m happy to work on them and tweak them to perfection :)
Here is another one of my what to do with leftovers blogs. This one is all about how to turn left over roast chicken into easy and delicious chicken rice in an instant pot.
I had a lot of leftover oranges and lemons from holiday cooking, so this is what I made with the extra.
Still finding ways of using my leftover holiday foods, here is what I did with leftover cranberry sauce, lemon curd, and mint chocolate ganache.
I had a lot of leftover roast and veggies from the holidays so I decided to make a few dishes out of it (some with the help of my new instant pot). I made roast fried rice (which also saved undercooked rice), bleu and white cheddar mac and cheese with roast, and tomato sauce with roast over pasta.
This is a really long post about all of our holiday activities this year from decorating to traditional Christmas eve shenanigans to friendsmas. It was a great way to end the year! Check out my decorating skills, Sami’s 2D tree, and all of the food we made and consumed :)
I hosted thanksgiving and invited over a bunch of friends. I got to make so much good food and everyone seemed to have a good time.
Blizzcon was amazing this year. I had guildies and friends show up, the announcements were epic, I worked in the Inclusion Nexus, and I even got to talk at the show!
We rounded out our vacation with a few days in London (and one in Bath). It was so nice and relaxing to be back in the UK. Enjoy!
This is the second part to our Lebanon trip. It talks about our adventures in Sofar, Sayda, and Baalbek.
This is the first part of our Lebanon blog. We did so much and had so many pictures, I had to break it into 2 blogs. This one will talk about Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Bchallah, the Lebanese Cedars, Batround, the Jeita Grotto, and Harissa. Enjoy!
This week I’m being a bit more healthy so in addition to my normal rice balls and salmon, I’ve also made a lime-soy tofu salad. Hope you enjoy.
While Sami flew to PAX for Labor Day weekend, I headed to SF for a girl’s weekend. We went shopping, checked out the sights, attended the Zine Fest, and hung out in the traditional Japanese tea gardens. It was a great weekend overall with friends.
We headed out to the OC Night Market for an evening filled with local art work and delicious Asian foods. We tried takoyaki, ramen grilled cheese, a cotton candy burrito, and chicken and mochi yakitori. Read more to find out how they were.
This week’s bento has rice balls, crab salad, egg omelet, and veggies with herbed cream cheese.
July was a busy month for family visits. My mother came at the start and hung out for a week. Then towards the end, Billy and his family came to hang out and go on vacation too.
We went to Andy and Kellie’s July 4th party and brought Illidan. He did so well with all of the people and loved playing with their puppy, Marshmallow. I made pizza bites, macarons (for the first time), and peppermint chocolate cookies.
This week I had a theme of animals for my bentos. I made monkeys, raccoons, and even a bear out of inari, a giraffe out of tamagoyaki, and octopuses and crabs out of sausage. Enjoy!
Sammy and I went to the OC Lebanese Festival this weekend and enjoyed great food and good entertainment!
So I’m really proud of this bento! It’s the first one I designed myself rather than imitating something I found on the internet. It’s Overwatch themed, paying homage to my 3 mostly played heroes: D.Va, Moira, and Mercy. I made ‘Ultimate’ rice balls, ‘Caduceus Staff’ baked chicken fries, ‘Pachimari’ sausages, ‘D.Va’s Doritos’ carrots, and ‘Moira’s Orbs’ green and purple grapes for dessert. Enjoy!
