Everything we do is an adventure
This is our everyday adventures. This is all the good things going on in our lives and some of the bad. This is our lives. I promise some of it is exciting and of it is boring, but they are our memories and our times together. You certainly don't have to read any of them and especially not all of them, but they are the best way to be a part of our experiences.
We invite you to be a part of our adventure. To live it with us and maybe get inspired to have some adventures of your own!

Natasha and Sammy host Friendsgiving!
Natasha speaks at Blizzcon 2018
I hosted thanksgiving and invited over a bunch of friends. I got to make so much good food and everyone seemed to have a good time.
Blizzcon was amazing this year. I had guildies and friends show up, the announcements were epic, I worked in the Inclusion Nexus, and I even got to talk at the show!
We rounded out our vacation with a few days in London (and one in Bath). It was so nice and relaxing to be back in the UK. Enjoy!
This is the second part to our Lebanon trip. It talks about our adventures in Sofar, Sayda, and Baalbek.
This is the first part of our Lebanon blog. We did so much and had so many pictures, I had to break it into 2 blogs. This one will talk about Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Bchallah, the Lebanese Cedars, Batround, the Jeita Grotto, and Harissa. Enjoy!
We headed out to the OC Night Market for an evening filled with local art work and delicious Asian foods. We tried takoyaki, ramen grilled cheese, a cotton candy burrito, and chicken and mochi yakitori. Read more to find out how they were.
July was a busy month for family visits. My mother came at the start and hung out for a week. Then towards the end, Billy and his family came to hang out and go on vacation too.
We went to Andy and Kellie’s July 4th party and brought Illidan. He did so well with all of the people and loved playing with their puppy, Marshmallow. I made pizza bites, macarons (for the first time), and peppermint chocolate cookies.
Sammy and I went to the OC Lebanese Festival this weekend and enjoyed great food and good entertainment!
We had a couple things to celebrate this weekend, so of course I baked! One of Sammy’s friends got a job at Naughty Dog so I made him a lemon strawberry roll cake. Also, Sammy set me up with a unique URL for my food blogs (www.RobotsRations.com), new logo, watermark, and banner. I was pretty stoked with it all so I made him some Mexican Hot Chocolate Cupcakes with Vanilla Whipped Cream Frosting.
We recently had our 1 year wedding anniversary. It has been an exciting year of change: getting married, getting a new job, moving, going to Japan, getting a puppy, etc. So we really wanted to make the anniversary special to celebrate being together and all that has come with that. So we decided to celebrate over 2 days. The first day we went to Disneyland (I got us annual passes for an anniversary present; Sammy got me a really nice bike. I bike to work everyday so it’s thoughtful and something I really wanted). The second day we decided to go to the local aquarium as a call back to getting married in an aquarium. I thought it was a cute idea anyway. Also, the local aquarium does whale watching adventures in the Pacific Ocean, something both of us have wanted to do for a while.
Natasha’s department moved across campus. This one is actually kind of boring honestly, but she was excited.
Illidan graduated puppy 2 and showed his progress with one of the best weekends to date!
Sammy and I had a date weekend. We went to our first OWL match, grabbed a butterbeer in Universal Studios, and stopped for dinner in Little Arabia. It was a great weekend out.
Blizzard sent me to GUR and GDC. Plus I gave a talk as a part of the FPA. Read how it went
Illidan not only graduated puppy I but did so at the top of his class. He has made so much improvement and we are so proud of him.
We finally got to check out Universal Studios Hollywood. There were some aspects that were disappointing and a surprising couple that were great!
Sammy and I have started taking Arabic classes together and it is super exciting.
We had some traditional celebrations and some new ones. Overall, we had a small, sweet, and lovely holiday celebration complete with cats in Santa hats!
We went to our first Blizzcon, and it was super exciting! I can’t wait to go again next year!
Gus and Sandie came to see us in SF! We had such a great time and look forward to their next visit.
The Wedding finally arrived and it truly was the best day. The day I married my best friend surrounded by those closest to me.
Our holidays were filled with friends, excitement, and staying super busy. There wasn’t a lot of wedding planning, but I did get some exciting stuff done! Read more to hear about our Christmas party, Christopher’s visit, and the small yet steady progress on the wedding.
This was our first Thanksgiving as a couple away from our families. It went well and began a new tradition for us! :)
The Save the Dates came in and I am thrilled with how they turned out. We worked our Photoshop skills to make a Save the Date that was true to us and our wedding theme. We did have a little trouble with shipping, but overall hope that you get some entertainment from them too.
We just got back from Universal Studios Orlando and had an amazing 3 year anniversary. Here is my account of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (spoilers, it’s awesome!), Simpson’s Land, Jurassic Park World, and more. Hope you enjoy my retelling of our vacation, and maybe pick up some tips if you are planning on going yourself. Fair warning though: this one is kind of long so TL:DR Harry Potter World = awesome, I got to be a wizard; Simpson’s Land was full of potential but ultimately was a disappointment; Jurassic Park World was awesome but don’t eat there; Go to King Kong, Spiderman, Transformer, all Harry Potter rides; Be cautious of the older rides. J
We spent a few days in Dallas trying to finalize some parts of our wedding. We were extremely successful in that endeavor. It was a good trip all around, and a special thank you to everyone who drove up to support us.
This is a really long post about all of our holiday activities this year from decorating to traditional Christmas eve shenanigans to friendsmas. It was a great way to end the year! Check out my decorating skills, Sami’s 2D tree, and all of the food we made and consumed :)
