I didn’t just have savory leftovers. I also had leftover mint chocolate ganache, cranberry sauce, and lemon curd. Honestly the mint chocolate ganache was only a ‘leftover’ because I messed up my first batch of macarons. I didn’t have time to remake them for friendsmas, but I had so much ganache left that I had to make them the next day. So I remade my vanilla macarons and they came out perfect. Then I got to use the ganache exactly as I intended it, just a little late.

I still had leftover ganache though so I rolled up the last few bits into small balls and rolled it in leftover pistachios (that I crushed up in my new food processor). Mint chocolate pistachio truffles were delicious!! I was only able to make a handful though and we kind of ate them before I remembered to take a picture. Next time though! Promise!!

Then I had to figure out what to do with leftover cranberry sauce and lemon curd (homemade for the gingerbread lemon trifle). The lemon curd really made it obvious though. Lemon curd is my favorite crepe filling so I made crepes for breakfast one morning and stuffed them with lemon curd and cranberry sauce. They were delicious!! Plus this is a great way to use leftover cranberry sauce the morning after Christmas or even Thanksgiving in America.
