Sammy and I had a really good Saturday this weekend. We got up early, had breakfast on the road, drove to LA, and watched an Overwatch League (OWL) match. We ended up getting there a little later than expected, like when it was starting. But we still managed to get great seats. And the first match up was London Spitfire (my team of choice) versus San Francisco Shock (Sammy’s team of choice).
We assumed that Shock was going to win as they are currently doing better in the league, but to my enjoyment and Sammy’s despair, London won!!! They actually took all 4 maps and came out looking like recent changes were starting to work for them. After London vs Shock, we watched Seoul Dynasty vs. New York Excelsior. These are 2 of the best teams in the League and we could see why. The games were much faster and action packed. It was nonstop excitement from the start to finish. New York cleaned house on Seoul, but Seoul put up a fight and made for an exciting game to watch.
After Seoul vs. New York, we hit up the gift shop and added some branded items to our wardrobe. There was another game we could have watched, but decided to stop by Universal again instead for a butterbeer. It was really nice to walk around Universal without feeling pressured to do everything or like we had a time limit.
Once we started getting hungry, we stopped by voodoo donuts to grab a snack before driving to Little Arabia in Anaheim. We ate a Lebanese restaurant there. It was ok. There are better ones in Irvine though. Maybe we chose the wrong place. Finally we went home where the pets were so happy to see us again and demanded food.
