I didn’t have a lot of time because of all the recent family visits so I just made a simple bento this week. I started with the staple rice ball. Mine is stuffed with sesame baked salmon. I added some cute faces to them though so they weren’t too boring.

Then I made a crab salad with crab, cucumber, corn, carrots, Japanese mayo, siracha, soy, and S&P. It was really good but didn’t hold up towards the end of the week. I may not make this again for my lunches. It would be perfect for a picnic though.

I also decided to try to make an herbed cream cheese to go with my veggies (Cucumber and Radish) this week. It was ok, but honestly way too cream cheese for me. I won’t be making this again. I really just prefer the veggies raw. Although, I imagine this is just a personal preference.

Finally, I wanted to bump up the protein on the bento, so I made an egg omelet with soy and mirin. It was delicious.
